D Series
Wire mesh panels
Strong, light and see-through. The default for robot cells and perimeters.
SM Series
Solid panels for full separation: welding flash and spatter, flying chips, coolant, noise, or equipment that should not be seen from the aisle.
Specifications
Sheet metal panels close the fence completely. They stop spatter and sparks from a welding torch, keep chips and small parts inside the cell, reduce noise and hide equipment from view. Because they have no openings, they can stand closer to a hazard than a mesh panel.
SM panels fit the same posts, fixings and gates as the D Series, so a cell can use sheet metal only where it is needed and mesh everywhere else.

FAQ
Yes. Solid sheet metal stops arc light, flash and spatter, which is why it is used around welding torches. Plan windows or cameras where operators need to see inside.
Yes. SM panels use the same posts and fixings as mesh and polycarbonate panels, so one fence can mix all three.
They are heavier than mesh panels of the same size, but they mount on the same posts with the same fixings.
