Polycarbonate guarding panel, PC Series

PC Series

Polycarbonate machine guard panels

Transparent, impact-resistant panels that keep the process visible while containing chips, coolant splash and small parts.

Specifications

Clear view, no openings.

Polycarbonate panels give a clear view into the machine with no openings at all, so they can stand close to the hazard where a mesh panel would need more distance. They also contain chips, coolant mist and small parts that mesh would let through.

Use them around machining, deburring, part handling and inspection stations, and as viewing sections in an otherwise solid enclosure. Check chemical compatibility with your coolants and cleaners, and plan regular cleaning to keep the view clear.

Where to use it

When visibility and containment both matter.

  • Machining and CNC

Contains chips and coolant around machine tools and tending cells.

  • Inspection points

Operators watch the process without entering the cell.

  • Small parts

Keeps small parts and debris inside the guarded area.

  • Close to the hazard

No openings, so the guard can stand closer than mesh.

Panel families

Mix panel types in one fence.

Wire mesh panels D Series

Wire mesh panels

Strong, light and see-through. The default for robot cells and perimeters.

Sheet metal panels SM Series

Sheet metal panels

Full separation for welding flash, spatter, chips and noise.

Safety gates Gates

Safety gates

Seven gate types built from the same panels.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is polycarbonate suitable for welding?

Standard clear polycarbonate does not filter welding arc light. Use sheet metal or a suitable welding screen around the arc.

Why use polycarbonate instead of mesh?

Where chips, coolant or small parts must be contained, or where the guard must stand very close to the hazard, a panel with no openings is the safer choice.

Can polycarbonate and mesh panels be combined?

Yes. All panel families use the same posts and fixings, so a polycarbonate window can sit in a mesh fence.
